Colour Optimiser

The Pixellence Colour Optimiser works by analysing each pixel, determining the level of colour information and the level of enhancement required. The saturation levels of red, blue and green are optimised independently and the overall brightness of the picture is preserved to reproduce more natural, more vivid and more vibrant colours.
Resolution Enhancement

Using a highly advanced and intelligent scaling process, the Pixellence Resolution Enhancer achieves a high level of visual clarity by recreating spatial details and adjusting the density of the picture accordingly. In doing so, the Enhancer also prevents the blur that usually occurs with ordinary bi-cubic and bi-linear filters. The result is sharper, clearer pictures with perfect resolution.
Sharpness Enhancement

Unlike other standard engines, the Pixellence Sharpness Enhancer uses a patented sharpening filter that improves both vertical and horizontal detail. The range of luminance loss is reduced and sharpness improved to recreate crisper, clearer and natural looking pictures.
Contrast Enhancement
Applying a complex and innovative method of correction, the Pixellence Contrast Enhancer works by analysing each pixel in a frame and determining the contrast information. Once determined, the Enhancer stretches the dark regions towards darker intensities and bright regions towards whiter intensities. The regions in between are also updated to produce pictures that are defined with impressive detail and realistic contrast.
Detail Enhancement

The Pixellence Detail Enhancer uses a novel approach to enhancement. An adaptive filter not only sharpens the edges but also adjusts details in the mid-range to reproduce flawless visuals with true-to-life depth.
Skin tone Reproduction

This algorithm is designed to prevent hue errors in skin tones. It provides a wide range of skin tone regions, from yellowish to reddish tones. To recreate the most realistic and natural looking skin tones, the Pixellence Skin Tone Reproducer separates and analyses every pixel in a picture to determine if it is a skin pixel or not. Once determined, the shade of the skin pixels is corrected so it is truly faithful to the original.
